    Default Clouded Headlights

    Hi Guys,

Did a couple of searches and can't find this topic anywhere..

I bought my car with stone chips/marks in the headlights. I tried to get rid of them with polish.. didn't work. Then used 2000 grit sandpaper and wet-sanded. Felt really smooth as i was doing it but when they dried they were very cloudy. Then used my scratch removing polish on them, this reduces the cloudyness a fair bit but still cloudy.

Anyone have a fix for this??

    Cheers,
    Dave.

there is a lense restore product available it doesnt make them new but makes them better you could also try a good buff and it will take a long time to get the scratches out.

you have effectively scratched the s**t out of em, albeit fine scratches

i would be googling "remove scratches from glass" and see what you find,

otherwise i would be heading to ebay for a replacement set of headlights

Try toothpaste with a random orbital(polishing pad). Worked on my RX2 windscreen

    Default polish

    clean
    wet rub 2000
    3m mini orbital 3000 wet
at least 2 grades of polish
    hand polish
if that doesnt work, and you still dont like them i would have to say new ones.
but not for lack of trying
any good crash shop will be able to quickly wet buzz 3000 them for you for fark all and you do the rest
    good luck
    cheers
