vn has different cam, crank, balance ahaft, intake manifold ,exhaust manifolds and tune than vp.vp heads allso have an extra hole for the pcv valve which is moved into the inlet manifold on vp upwards.vr is the same slight mods to flow here and there different cam as well and if auto has a cam postition sensor in the front timing cover and a different tune again for vr engines

if its VR auto there will be work require installing the vn-vp engine as they dont have the cam sensor and the vr tune is way off for a vn-vp engine as well would need a custom tune to suit vn-vp engine and vr auto setup if its manual sweet chuck the engine in and slap in a memcal out of the same series ecu all done.vn engines had the coolants sensor in a different place too and will require the wires being redirected to the sensor if you run vn engine on the vr harness

the fact that the rear seal is GONE means itd be smarter to just drop in a new motor

vn-vp run 8.5:1 and the vr runs a compression ratio of 9:1
also apparently the vr came out with the supercharged rods from the states...

delcowizard pretty much explained it all (i think)
