What is a good Polish?

Hey guys, i bought a VN Calais about 2 weeks ago, the guy i bought it from just finished giving it a fresh paint and he did not put any polish on so it looks really dull.

I was going to take it in for a cut and polish but i figured i might give it a shot my self.

I would not have a clue what to buy, i was hopeing that someone could point me in the right direction.

check out meguiars or autoglym online as they make some pretty good products.

altho i havent used to many polishes, i use gold class meguiars.
i think its awesome, comes up reall nice

better brand then meguairs is Farecla
it not common but is used quite commonly in the car trade
it is up there with the top brands like 3M although it is close to the $100 mark a bottle

im using 3M on the VL then the farecla wax top

$100 per bottle? abit expencive.
There is a guy in Bayswater ( Vic, Melbourne ) and he does a Cut & Polish for $150.
I cant say how good he is, never been to him before.
I am pretty much just looking for a polish that i can buy from a Repco, Supercheap Auto or Autobarn. They are the main shops i go to.

Another stupid question here. What is the diffrence with Polish, Wax and a Clear coat.
At the moment my car is mat blue, it has no shine what so ever. So what should i do?
