    ok im looking at a vq 5l and the rego ran out in feb 2009 so how am i ment to test drive it n all that is this something i can use to get the price down or not

    Joking. I don't think you'd be allowed to take it for a test drive on public roads (legally) and the police would probably enforce that rule, though I could be wrong... Be cautious when buying a car without reg/roady, could end up costing you a whole lot more getting the roadworthy

    The only way i can see you legally being able to drive it on the road is with some form of temporary registration, or identifying markings. Ie...A dealer plate.

    It used to be more than that sav, it cost me $60 something to get a day pass, and you have to list the roads and the times you'll be driving for that aswell.


    SA DON'T have roadys, so no issue there, just get the car transferred into your name and your done, simple process really.

    Personally i wouldn't pay 5k for that. You could find a series 2 caprice with average k's/condition for the same price, with shitloads more features?
