hey fellas just wondering for all those who have Superlow springs or more how bad the camber wear is on the back 2 wheels
i had ultras in the rear of my series II wh... not a problem at all... old man had series I with supers and rear camber wear was pretty bad... my irs is different to his and yours is newer so i cant see it being a problem for you
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
thanks for the fast replys is it worth putting the superlows in than?
i have experience with vt and vx and its horrible the camber just eats at the inside of the tyres. Im not sure if they fixed some of those problems for the vy though
You wont have that much problem with just super lows.
I go through a set of 18s a month but i feel its worth it. Kind of silly but its the price you pay to know spend thousands on an improved lowered setup.
If your going to spend money on kings at least go to SSL in the rear. Yo u seriously will be unhappy with SL
thats strange coz my series 2 is the same as a vx and i never had a problem with rear camber wether it was on 15's or 20's

Dude just fit the springs. might cost u can extra 100 a year on tyre wear having the springs in. Nothing major
as a general rule, ive noticed the VT/VX is bad, but the VY/VZ isn't quite. not saying there isnt any, but compare a lowered VT to a lowered VY and compare the camber difference.
Dad's VT had Pedder's low in the back and that murdered the tires on 18's. Yet my VS for example, with the same springs, is almost as high as standard, so little wear. as i said, VY's tend to have less camber than VTs

The VZ is here! About time!
this is how bad(or good) mine was, one side is through to the belt, other has just started wearing past the tread wear indicators.
thats with SSL in the rear.

I'v been though 3 pairs of back tyres with ssl in the back.
costs me $230 a tyre, with the cheapest brand.
VX series 2 to VZ had a revised rear end .They had the rear link added and the rear suspension arms had different mounting points so there is much less camber and less tyre wear .but it is best to get a rear end alignment when you use superlow springs just to be on the safe side
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
thanks for all the info and for the pics
so dayvo you reackon just the alignment and she will be sweet?
mine was adjusted as much as it could be to bring out the camber, you could not get any better without a camber kit
u'll always have camber on the rears the lower u go so gettin a camber kit is well worth it, it wont fix it 100% but it will help in the long run 2 give u more kms out of ur tyres.
Best thing 2 do which would give u an idea if u'll have a problem or not wen u get ur tyres aligned ask 4 the print out and u'll see wat sort of camber ur tyre has from the start.

My camber wear wasnt too bad with the 17"s
I had them on for a while and never rotated them either
ive had lovell super lows and 18" tyres for about six months so far on my vy2 and i havent noticed any uneven wear yet. Got a front/rear alignment only.
there are sooo many ppl saying one thing and soo many saying another lol wtf haha
