Roadside Assist

Budget direct insurance now has roadside assist for around $1.00 a week.I am currently insured with them and I am wondering if anyone here has taken up this option.They say on their website that Ultratune does their call outs.Are they reliable like Racv as I am thinking of joining.

A lot of country areas won't have an Ultratune. What happens if you break down out of the city?

I would query Budget Direct as to what happens when your out country or not near an Ultratune! Or request a booklet?

i broke down on Mt Hotham in a blizzard once, the dodgy Rebel Sport hired chains came off and wrapped around rear axle. within 20 mins the RACV van was there - seen it all before - pulled them off and had me on my way.

something tells me i'd have been there a lot longer if i was with ultratune or budget direct.
