Royal Purple Synchromax in VX Getrag 5 speed

Hey all,

Quick question for those in the know.
Is the Royal Purple Synchromax any good to use in a getrag box?
It says on the bottle recommended for manual transmissions the require either atuo trans fluid, multi-viscosity motor oil or straight grade motor oil.
Noobish question I know, but i wana make sure b4 I put any in.
I've managed to come accross 5 bottles of the stuff.

If not, I'll guess I'll c if I can sell em. . . .

Im not familiar with this particular royal purple oil, but the getrag box is specified to use an 80w 85 gear oil. Hope that helps.

nah that stuff will be too thin.... needs to be atleast 75 weight oil to stop the gears from chattering and prevent excessive wear

I thought so, I'm getting the Max Gear stuff they have. Its 75W90.
