Which is a better choice; getting a VR and converting it to LPG, or getting a VT-VZ and not converting it to LPG (because the ecotec engine can’t handle LPG and causes too many problems). Which will cost more in the long run? And what will be the effects be performance wise on the VR considering it has been running on petrol for more than 15 years?
Thanks
what makes the ecotec any different to the 3800, when comparing capabilties with gas??????
why wouldn't you get the VT commodore on gas?
Don't take this personally but I don't think you're completely up to date with holdens.
The very, very early lpg systems had issues with the ecotec but now it's no problem at all. There are quite a few people on this forum running lpg in their ecotecs and haven't heard of any real problems associated with it. People are even going to the liquid lpg systems as they're more efficient.
Where did you heard that ecotecs can't take gas? (the VZ's have the 3.6l alloytec engine btw)
A Commodore is a passion. Anything else is just a car
alot of people have told me the ecotec doesnt run well on gas, and i looked through this forum about it, but maybe im lookin at the wrong replies
thanks buddy
oh ok so VT-VY with current LPG conversions work fine? does anyone actually have the conversion on their car? and what type?
thanks
