Default dead temp gauge VR

Replaced temperature sender still no movement of gauge, aslo fuel gauge is intermittent. Noticed on wiring diagram there is a voltage regulator feeding both of these gauges., Does any one know where the regulator is or any similar experience

thanks merlinp.

check if youve got a thermostat.. my dads vp didnt have one and the guage never moved, or if it did only about 1mm because the engine wasnt heating up.. put one in and now its working.

I had issues with both in my VR...

except was opposite...

Went straight up into the red for heat when starting and then dropped back after hit operating temp, changing thermostat did not help this...

and the fuel guage used to get stuck... literally, the display... Flick the plastic disply cover and the needle would flick up to where it was meant to be... weird
