vx commodore towbar loom

The vx I bought has a towbar but no loom any idea where it plugs into. I have heard the rear right hand brake light but there is no spare loom there at all? Any Ideas, also could I still pick this loom up at a holden dealer?

There is no loom from factory. You have to splice into the main loom that goes to the tail light on the driver's side.

If it has a towbar it should have a loom fitted , are you sure it isn't in the spare wheel well ?? If there is no loom then i'd ditch the towbar or get it checked professionally as it is obviously a dodgy fit up

Really I thought there was a loom from factory does anyone know what wires to splice into? Cant ditch the towbar I need it now for towing hmmm hopefully the trailer doesnt detach though on my journey.

Sorry, I read it wrong, I thought you said you just bought a tow bar instead of, you bought a VX with a tow bar. In that case, there should be plug somewhere, either in the spare wheel well as billythakid said, in the boot or attached to the bottom of the rear bumper.

Definatley not any loom in the spare wheel well i have had a vt ss before with towbar so im not missing anything it seems to have a towbar but I think the previous owner has nicked off with the loom I may need to splice my own in but dont know which wires etc

This might be of some help.
RED- BRAKE
GREEN- RH BLINKER
YELLOW- LH BLINKER
WHITE- EARTH
BROWN- PARKERS

Not sure if the vz colours are the same as vt-vx. But as follows
BLUE/RED-BRAKE
LIGHTBLUE- LH BLINKER
DARK BLUE- RH BLINKER
BROWN- PARKERS
BLACK/BLUE-EARTH

I bought a harness of ebay for mine, it was about $40, great bloke to deal with and is simple. All you need to do is plug two plugs in and youve got your harness. Lemme know if you want the link posted?

The loom in my VX is plugged into the rear right taillight harness .

So the harness is plugged between the main wiring and the tail light.
