I resprayed my Brembos and rear HSV AP Racing callipers to black...
For me there were a couple of reasons why I chose black,
1) Very easy to keep clean (In terms of brake dust).
2) Black doesn't stand out as much as red, silver or yellow (This might not be what you want though).
I live in a semi bad area, and I didn't want people noticing what brakes I had, and thinking that I had spent a ton of money on them...
The red on the HSV callipers was way too bright, and looked weird on a Sandstorm (Goldish) coloured car.
The Stock silver blended in very nicely with the rotor and wheels, but shows up brake dust rather easily....

I hope this helps....

(PS. I can understand how the Brakes would cost a bucket load. Just stock Brembo and HSV / AP Racing brakes I have fitted have cost me thousands.
(Forgetting the cost of getting suitable wheels as well)... And most of the stuff I got was used... :(

Let us know what the brakes feel like before and after !!!!!

I will let you know how they feel when done. Hopefully next friday if all the bits are available. Going Black, and that what AP Racing are anyway, and the yellow writing don't look that bad either. I can always paint the yellow to black latter down the track.

Don't bother painting them, they get noticed when people see the yellow (AP Racing) logo popping out at them. I upgraded my front brakes to the CP5200 330mm 4 piston caliper and the difference is amazing!
Your brakes in that size will stop you so fast, they will be as good as V8 supercar brakes.

Brakes Arent cheap. I spent $5k on 4pot 356mm HARROP jobbies. Worth it though.

What sort of weights are you towing - to require a brake upgrade ?
