LMAO @ most haters being in another state. Guess when you have the day off and get to smash a BBQ and a ton of beers it's more enjoyable.

Canberra used to have the day off with 'Community Day'. Some people cracked the sads, said it was nothing to do with the community and the holiday was moved back to October so now we get 2 Lon weekends in a row.

If there is 1 thing i hate more than AFL, it'd have to be horse racing. Didn't even have the slightest interest in watching the race and i don't even know who won, nor do i really give a ****. If it wasn't for the public holiday, i wouldn't even know when it was.

Also, what's with everyone having Monday off? It isn't a public holiday...Never understood why people need a 4 day weekend for a stupid horse race.

When I was a kid it was 'Sunday School Picnic Day'; turns out it was never actually meant to be such - the church just tacked their day onto Cup Day when it started in the 1870s. Suddenly I don't care that Sunday School Picnic Day died a slow death :rofl2:

One thing that did worry me yesterday was on the news (ch 9) they warned people that there was 'only an hour to go to get your bets on'; telling people to go gamble is now news apparently.

Yep I find it boring. But no more boring then every other night when all I have to hear about is the NRL/AFL/Cricket/Soccer and whatever other boring **** sport they are going on about on the news.
