Let me say...

All start with Gov Bonds, Banks buys them, gives them to the Central Bank (Fed Reserve is the Printing Press) in excahnge of Currency with interest (created currency on an account without funds). The Bank lends the Currency to the Gov, The Currency goes to Public things, people get paid, deposit the Currency, Fractional Lending increase the Currency Supply, Inflation Increase, Gov needs more than before to fund their services, so they issue more Bonds and the cycle continues.

That is the shortest way I can come up.

Every dollar the banks sell to the public via their banking system must be repaid with interest but the dollars do not exist because every dollar has interest attached to it, so it is mathematically impossible to pay off the sum total debt ... how people cannot see through this bs is beyond me ...

As long they can buy some with the Currency they got, nobody gives a damn. The evil part is that Savings and Retirements are suffering due to Nominal Perception. Yes you get more confetti, but that confetti buys you less and less over time. Compund that with taxation, fees and the myriad of crap to squeeze every Dollar you got.

In my experience the people that seem to defend banks are generally ignorant or employees ...

As i said "generally" ... to broaden my observation they are either unaware / uninformed, employees (of the bank or banking system) or in "finance" .... but either way minions of an economic system that the Royal Commission clearly found deep systemic fault and corruption ... there are others simply defensive of their folly or have an undisclosed vested reason .... it is just a simple social observation ...

Without credit the Western World would still be stuck in the dark ages.

Grow up an get over the fact that some people have more than you do. Stop whinging, and set about accumulating your own piece of the pie through making an effort. Contribute to something other than Australia's rampant tall poppy syndrome.

In answer to your question about money, read Yuval Noah Harari. I'd say read his entire book, but for you specifically, at the very least his musings on the Capitalist Creed.
