Default Springs & Shocks for 2002 Prelude

    Hey Greg

My mate has a 2002 Honda Prelude currently with coil-overs, the combination he has is currently jolting the hell out of him and the car and no amount of adjustments works. Hes after something roughly comparable to superlows with a decent ride ie not too soft, not too stiff.

He wants to replace the all 4 springs and shocks, anything you can recommend and quote on?

    Cheers
    John.

    Hi mate,

Need to know exactly what model Prelude it is as 2002 is a cross over year. BA8?

    Regards,

    Hi mate,

Sorry about the late reply. No body does anything off the shelf to suit the BB6 VTiR variants... I'm waiting on a couple of phone calls to see if we can get something made, but I wouldn't be holding my breath unfortunately. Might have to look at coilovers, as much as I despise the cheaper end of the them...

    Greg

    lol great

i'll let him know, he has coilovers atm, im wondering even a price on standard shocks and i might have to point him in the custom made springs route..

is there a coilover shock thats adjustable firm to soft? that might help his situation.

Thanks again Greg, i know its not a commo

Import some Neuspeed springs and Koni yellow shocks from the States, best combo available for Hondas

Koni Yellows aren't available for that model of Honda. Therein lies our problem...

The majority of stuff we do John is non-commo stuff anyway, so it's no problem at all.

No body that we can find does standard replacement shocks to suit that model Prelude, and shortened springs aren't an option because of a trapment issue. The only coilovers we do are the DMS ones, but they'll probably be a little out of his budget...
