Hi Guys,
Hoping you can point me in the right direction. I recently lowered my VT Commodore using Lovells Superlow springs and the stock FE2 Struts, and shocks, while the rear is pretty well sorted; the struts are a little flogged out and the car has front end suspension characteristics similar to that of a shopping trolley. Accordingly I am looking to get the front end sorted.
I have a budget of approx $600, obviously the struts need replacing with the lowered offerings from any one of a number of manufacturers but what other "mods" would you recommend having done to get it tracking well?

Hi Aaron,
The front struts we'd recommend would be the KYB or Boge, both are shortened, both are the same price, $145 each. Rear shortened shocks in either brand are $69 each.
The most common other enhancement in the Commodore is to replace the front radius rod bush, as they're fluid filled, and a HEAP of movement in them. A pair of those, in a Whiteline caster adjustable kit is $175.
Other than, probably the front sway bar link kit, which is a heavy duty 'Z' bar design, again Whiteline, $55 for the pair. If they haven't been replaced, the strut tops are probably on the way out, $59 each in a Boge WITH bearing.
That's the main things, work out your budget from that. We're at Annerley, but none of the above are a stocked item for us, so you'd need to give us about half a day to get it in stock.
Any other questions just let me know.
Regards,
Greg
