Hi ive been told your the man to speak too by members on here.
Im after a price on a set of bilsteins shocks, front strut tops bearing etc to suit ve 2007 clubsport
I currently have walkinshaw springs fitted are they made by h&r or king springs?
Money can't buy happiness But I'd rather cry in my Ferrari
Hi mate,
Bilstein B8's (top end monotube) to suit are $350 each for the front, and $309 each for the rear. Rear shocks also have limited height adjustment.
No idea on the Walkinshaw springs, but at a guess I'd so Kings.

Greg

Thanks for the reply do they do strut tops as well? If not what do you recommend.
All this hsv stuff is new to me I've always had jap cars.
How much do the h r springs lower the car with the bilstein fitted?
Postage costs to 2280 nsw? Sorry for all the questions your time appreciated

price on some Bilstein for a vs ute? postage to 4865
Hi mate,
Bilstein don't strut tops, but we use and recommend Boge stops with SKF bearings. $59 per side.
No idea on the HR springs, for Commodores we only use Eibach or Kings, and with Bilstein shocks, Kings are the stand out performer. If you were running a street type shock (like a KYB or Boge) then I'd go a HR or Eibach style spring, but on a shocks as quality as the Bilstein, the Kings would be the best spring.
Shipping to 2280 would be $22.

Greg

Hey mate, sorry for the dig.
Just wanted to know how long approx you'd think Bilstien shocks should last under normal driving conditions? (Melbourne roads, no off-road, no track use, no aggressive cornering etc)
Monroes are only warranted until 60,000km. Would 60,000km bilsteins continue to perform well? And lastly do they have a lifetime warranty in Oz?
Cheers!

clubby500, I have the Bilstein and H&R Spring combo on my ute, and I'm very happy with it! The drop was around 30mm at the front, and closer to 40mm at the rear.
150,000-200,000 before they'd need looking at. A quick service (change of oil and regrease of the strut) and they'd be good to go again for the same distance.
At 60,000 they'd still be like new.Would 60,000km bilsteins continue to perform well?
Being a motorsport orientated shock, no. But in a street application, they'll outlast the car in most instances. And lastly do they have a lifetime warranty in Oz?
