Hi Greg,
Just picked myself up a very nice Cross 8 for towing the new caravan. I was looking at Air ride but then came across the Aussie Super Springs.
All up we will be pulling about 2200kg with a towball weight of about 180kg.
1) Are they any good and will they help.
2) If they do what they claim, how much freighted down to Melb.
Cheers
Marc
Hi Marc,
We used to do Aussie Super Spring many years ago, but haven't done them in ages and now longer deal with the importer of them. They're a good product and do what they claim, and I would recommend them, but we're unable to supply them.
If you get super stuck let me know, otherwise probably best to find a local supplier of them.
Regards,
Greg

Thanks Greg, While I have your attention I notice that you have a VZ AWD, what do you recommend brake wise without spending a fotune to help stop this beast, theres nothing like someone with real life knowledge. As there's not alot of these around everyone tells you different things.
Cheers Marc
Hi Marc,
On my Cross 6 (which I've actually recently sold) that I towed the rally car with, I had RDA Slotted rotors, and QFM HPX pads all round. RDA slotted rotors to suit are $319 for the front pair, and $165 for the rear pair.
HPX we've phased out in favor of a better performance street pad. It's a European performance pad called Remsa, which is rated to 650 degrees (versus 550 for the HPX), whilst still being low dust and rotor wear. Also the Remsa come with noise reducing features such as a relief groove and shamfers in the pad material, as well as a soft backing shim, all of which the HPX do not come with. We've been supplying Remsa to high performance street road cars like Porsche and Ferrari for many years, but the pricing has now become such that we're now able to expand it to most road cars. Remsa is what I personally run in my iLoad (which replaced the Cross 6). Remsa to suit are $89 for the front, and $79 for the rear, and as per the HPX, come standard as a police spec full face front pad.
Any other questions just let me know!
Regards,
Greg
