    Default LS2 T56-M12 Clutch

    Hey,

Just after your recommendations and prices for a replacement clutch kit.

    I have a 2005 Clubsport R8 with the T56-M12.

The car is putting out around 335rwkw so I'm after something I can put in and not have to worry about for a while.

    Thanks,

    Hi mate,

I'd go an Exedy Heavy Duty Single Mass Flywheel kit, which is $1049 for the kit. Or else you could go the cushion button, which is a significant step up, whilst still being streetable, but a fair bit more expensive, $1279 including flywheel. To be honest the standard HD should do the job.

    Regards,
    Greg

    Thanks for the reply.

I'll probably be in touch when the current clutch dies.

    Cheers,

The Xtreme clutches are pretty good. Not cheap though, although you wont find a decent clutch kit for the 6 speed for under a grand (...in Australia).

I was recommended an NPC single plate setup for my LS1, thoughts? $1500 supply only from a couple of shops up here.

Jester, from what I've been told NPC clutches are the go for any LS engine, do not suffer from the Tex shudder or any other stupid issues. Just slightly heavier than stock, but no big deal - you expect that anyway Might be worth looking into.

Just a follow up question to this thread. How much for a concentric slave and throwout bearing for the LS2?

    Thanks.

What clutch is in the car now? OEM, or an aftermarket SMF etc?

Currently OEM but it will be replaced in the near(ish) future with a aftermarket twin place that is compatible with the OEM CSC. Flywheel is solid.
