Hi Greg.
Looking to upgrade the brakes (front and rear) on my live axle vs sedan and have the option of 4 spot Harrop's (as fitted to VY R8's etc) or 6 spot AP Racing (from a VE Senator).
I know exactly what is involved in adapting the Harrop setup, but am unsure about the AP Racing? Would the same rear adaptor hub and handbrake shoe to suit the Harrop setup also suit the AP Racing? I understand this is possibly not something you've attempted before, but thought you'd be a good person to ask.
Pretty sure the Harrop discs are 330mm but am unsure about the AP Racing (19" wheels only just clear caliper).
Do you sell any of the components i'd need to adapt them?
Cheers,
Chris.

Hi Chris,
Are you sure they're 6 pots off a VE, not a VZ? The 6 pot VE is rare as, and to be honest I've got no idea what you'd use...
Harrops are easy though, 343mm front, 315mm rear, fro the front just need the adaptor ring to suit VS hub size. Rears I'm not so sure on being live axle.
Maybe give Matt at Race Brakes Sydney a bell on this one.
Cheers,
Greg

Sick of paying too much for high performance brake pads? Want high performance and cold bite with low rotor wear?

Yeah they're from a VE Senator (still on the car).
Out of interest, what is required to mount standard VE brakes to a VS? Is the caliper mount spacing and offset etc a straight swap like that of vt-vz onto vs?
I'll give Matt a call and see how I go.
Cheers
