Weight of rotors

Hey guys: quick few questions for you, an perhaps a sale for you also

Car in question: VT SS, DBA 4000 series slotted rotors.

I'm interested in changing to the DBA 5000 series, (2 piece, slotted and drilled). My reason is that im trying to reduce unsprung vehicle weight. I am not after any more braking performance. I AMA aware of the downsides of running a cross drilled rotor for lifespan.

What I want to know is the weight of the rotors, both my current 4000's and the drilled and slotted 5000. If the loss is significant, can you also forward pricing? All in OEM sizing please, as I run a 15" wheel.

I can help you with the weights:

The DBA 4000 slotteds: approximately 9.7 KG.

The DBA 5000 cross drilleds: approximately 7.7 KG.

Yep, correct, there's about 2kg per rotor difference!

Are rears available also as a multi piece light weight assembly? If not, whats the lightest rear rotor you can supply?

Nope because it's not possible (or very difficult) to make an alloy hat compatible with the handbrake assembly.

Sorry for being slow getting back to you. I think id pass on the rears, as I have near new 4000's. If you could PM me a price on the 5000 fronts only, and freight to 4810, we can close this thread! cheers mate
