    Hi GSL RallySport,
I have got a lowering package for my commy from you before and service was excellent.
Now need rotors and pads for the other half's 2002 XC Barina.
How much can you do for 4 rotors plus pads and shipping to 5013 SA.
    Thanks.

    Hi mate,

Apologies about the late reply! Anything urgent always best to call.

I'd go QFM HPX, which are a Bendix Ultimate equivalent, but low dust and rotor wear, $79 per set front or rear. If you want cheaper pads let me know as we have plenty of options available in the lower end of the market.

With regards to rotors, were you just after standard rotor, or slotted etc?

Shipping to SA on a full vehicle set of pads and rotors would be $22

    Regards,
    Greg

Price on the standard rotor would be fine.

    Hi mate,

RDA are $39 per rotor front or rear. DBA are $45 each for the front, and $39 each for the rear.

    Hi gslrallysport,

Got a stock VZ ute, just wondering on a price for a "decent upgrade". Just chasing rotors + pads - some slotted ones would be nice. I've heard you're the man to ask!

    thanks

    Hi mate,

Depends how much you'd like to spend, but we've got a few levels of rotors to choose from (all slotted):
RDA Front $165 for the pair
RDA Rear $149 for the pair
    or
DBA Street Series Front $99 per rotor
DBA Street Series Rear $99 per rotor
    or
DBA 4000 Series Front $148.50 per rotor
DBA 4000 Series Rear $148.50 per rotor

    Main differences are:
    - RDA are made in China, DBA 4000 Series are made in Australia. Street Series DBA vary between both.
    - All DBA slotted are painted to avoid rust, versus RDA which are a completely blank rotor
    - 4000 Series DBA have a thermal marking paint to monitor rotor temperatures (more of a track thing)

Really depends on how much you're prepared to spend, and with rotors definitely get better as you go up in price.

As far as pads go, I'd go QFM HPX, which are a Bendix Ultimate equivalent, but low dust and rotor wear. $79 per set front or rear.

Also if you need brake fluid (which is always your first weakness), the fluid that we use and recommend is the TRW GP600 Dot 4 Racing Brake Fluid, which is $59 for a 1L bottle, and rated to 312 degrees dry.

Any other questions just let me know!

    Regards,
    Greg

Just watch out if you want no noise (or a whining sound) being generated from your front brakes because if you dont you probably wont like slotted rdas with the qfm pads. From 80 to 100kph it sounds like a plane is landing on your roof when you hit them.....add that with the constant dust on my wheels and it has made me think using this combination on my vz isnt as good as I thought it would be My other car a vr commodore which uses aust made and same size dba slotteds and using the exactly same pads and it doesnt dust as much. I used standard slotted rda discs on my vz and it carves them up a bit. Dont know if the weight difference between the two cars is a major factor.

    Hi mate,

What are you using the car for, just street or track etc?

Were you specifically after standard rotors, or something slotted?
