    Hey Mate,

Very interested, in super lows all round for a VS Senator, with camber kit.
    We're up in Townsville btw.

The KYB shocks, are they the black ones? Can I upgrade to a slightly better shock at all?

Also, Im toying with keeping the self leveling, so am I just able to get the front struts n no rear shocks or r they a package?

Thanks for your time, will be calling in a few months.

    G'day,

I'm after a pair of rear shocks to suit live rear axle VS sedan.
Can you get them to suit a 60mm drop and keep the rear springs captive? (sick of springs falling forward)

How much are they and what is the postage to the Newcastle area (2318)?

Yep, just the excel g shocks, but can definately package up AGX's, Koni's or Bilstein if you'd like.

Na just tell us what you're after and we can package something up.

    Hi mate,

Have you already got shorter shocks that aren't short enough, or have you just got stock shocks?

Just a pair of KYB rear shorter shocks to suit are $120 for the pair plus $10 shipping to you.

    Cheers,

I've got the FE2 shortened shocks in it, but they are still about 30 - 40mm too long. Are the KYB ones shorter than the FE2 shocks?

I honestly don't know. I know Boge do a 60mm short shocks but not the suit the Live axle, only IRS. If you can measure the full extended length of the FE2 shock I can compare it to the KYB one.

Lowest as in Ultra Lows, or super lows? Ultra lows are definately not recommended for the street. Regardless of height, $130 for the front pair, and $140 for the rear pair. $20 delivery. Superpro camber only kit $125.

Hey mate, will be looking at getting springs and shocks all round and also a camber kit, probably in a couple of weeks. Am looking at doing it myself, just wondering with the camber kit, does that need to be proffesionally set up? Im already having troubles with the camber on my rear tyres which im assuming is camber as they are 235/45/18 and apparantely bigger tyres and the IRS dont mix.

Also just wondering wether or not you guys deal with strut braces and swaybars?

    Cheers

    Hi mate,

The camber kits are press in bushes that need to be adjusted, its more of a professional thing as you can't really drive the car till it gets a wheel alignment.

Also just wondering wether or not you guys deal with strut braces and swaybars?
Yeah mate, absolutely, what were you chasing?

Ah right, its just that ive been told by the local shop in town that they cant put them in unless you give them the numbers for adjustment or something like that(im pretty new to this kind of thing).

With the strut braces and sway bars, im open to suggestions, as this is the first time ive done the suspension on a car.

Ah, tha doesn't sound right. They just install the bits, and then adjust them as per a normal wheel alignment. There's no set numbers as such as every car will be different.

With the strut braces and sway bars, im open to suggestions, as this is the first time ive done the suspension on a car.
Just for a road car, RWD, I'd stick with just a heavier duty front sway bar, and front strut brace. I wouldn't worry about a rear sway, but those with more specific vehicle knowledge of Commodores may have other advice (We specialise in setting up FWD and AWD gravel rally cars, far cry from street Commodores!).

A whiteline heavy duty front sway bar is $255, and a front strut brace is $189.

    Cheers,
    Greg

Ah righto, I was just told that by a mate. His car is awd though so it might be different?

When i get some time I will measure up and see how much I want the car lowered and get back to you. Will probably let you know sometime in the next fortnight.

After looking at your site I see you are at Brendale. Do you guys do installs? If so how much would I be looking at for super lows and shocks on a VU ute fitted?

    Hi mate,

Yep installs is fine. Its just charged at standard workshop rates of $66/hr, and shouldn't take any longer than 2-2.5 hours. The actual parts are $625.

Any other questions just let us know.

    Hi mate,

I'm assuming just live rear axle?

You can change just the shocks, that's no worries.

KYB shocks to lowered VR are $125 each for the fronts, and $55 each for the rears. Or else just the prices on the first page for complete packages.

    Hi mate,

Unfortunately haven't got any pics as most of what we do is just sales, and not alot of fitting.

What would a set for a VS Sedan, live axle cost with King Spring ultra lows?
Can u fit them, how much extra would that cost?
I'm guessing that would require an adjustable panhard rod as well, yes/no?
Kinda new to the lowering a car thing...
