Hey Greg, I've just bought a VU SS ute and want to lower it. I don't want to go so low that I need a camber kit, what height would you reccommend?

How much would they be with postage to 2880. Regards Ben (",)

    Hi mate,

Being an SS, pretty much any lower than what you've got would ideally need a camber kit. A camber kit isn't 100% critical, but any lower than your current height and you run the risk of excessive tyre wear. A 4pt camber kit is $175.

Our lowering kit to suit VU SS is $795, and consists of KYB front shocks, and Oztec rear shocks, which are specifically designed for lowered utes, whilst meeting the load carrying requirements.

Shipping to 2880 is free till the end of the month, or else $22 normally.

Any other questions just let me know!

    Regards,
    Greg

    Hi mate,

KYB don't make adjustable for the back of live axle, your best bet for track work valved shocks would be Bilstein, which are $170 each.

No opinion unfortunately, can't say I've actually driven a car on FE3. It's all relative to the other setups, and indeed other cars, and largely depends on what your intended purpose for the car is...

    2. whats the best setup to decrease my vy v6's body roll will new rims help or are the more show with my stock berlina vy SII
First place to start would be some sway bars. Whiteline Adjustable ones to suit are $275 and $245 front and rear respectively.

    3. i read ^^ a bit and i am thinking low allround or maybe low and sl and i do tow a 5x7 full of fire wood sometimes
Most common setup is super low in the rear, and low in the front, Gives it that nice look without being too low. Price on the lowering kits is the same regardless of height, and to suit VY is $675.

    4. A price on pads as my rears are 80-90% worn and my fronts about 50-60
Just for heavy duty street use, I'd recommend QFM HPX, which is a Bendix Ultimate equivalent , but low dust and rotor wear. $79 per set front or rear.

    Hi mate,

Sure is, the package price for springs and shocks to suit VS Statesman is $675. Depending on how low you go, you may need to get a camber kit, which is $179 for a Whiteline 4 point.

If you're not able to fit it, then there's only a few hours labor, most mechanics would change $200-$300 to fit.

Any other questions just let us know!

    Hi mate,

Unfortunately we can't send shocks to NZ, because they're gas charged (dangerous good) and air freight is the only option being so close to Australia.

    Hi Jess,

Best to checkout the first post with regards to pricing etc.

As far as which height to go, the best bet is to measure your current hub (middle of wheel) to guard measurement, and let us know how much lower than that you'd like to go.

    Regards,
    Greg

    Hi mate,

The lowering kit comprises of springs and shocks. Height can be anything you like, pricing is the same. Easiest way to determine the height is to measure your current hub (centre of wheel) to guard measurement and let us know how much lower than that you'd like to go.

Depending on how low you go, you may also like to consider an adjustable panhard rod for the rear, which is $179.

Shipping to 5051 would be $22.

Any other questions just let me know!

    Hi Greg,

I currently have superlow springs and stock shocks all round. I am interested in replacing the shocks to KYB performance shocks. Could you please advise your best price for KYB shocks for front and rear?

Also how much to post to Canberra, post code 2614?

    Thanks,

    Jo.
