    Hi Jo,

KYB to suit are $135 each for the front, and $105 each for the rear. Delivery to Canberra would be $15.

Thanks Greg, could you please advise the price for Boge shocks front and rear as well? Also, I am wanting a smoother and comfortable ride, not really into performance and would appreciate your opinion if the KYB or Boge shocks would be most suuitable?

If comfort is your main concern then probably go Boge over KYB. Boge to suit are $125 each for the front, and $75 each for the rear.

    Hi mate,

To lower the ute properly you need to use a specialized rear shock caused Oztec, which are a decent step up from the KYB in terms of price. Because of this, the full package price to suit ute is $795 with KYB front, Oztec rear, and King springs front and rear.

    Delivery to 3207 $22.

Any other questions just let me know!

As low as possible you really need to spend decent money on good shocks like Bilstein. It's doable on KYB, but at the sacrifice of ride quality. KYB and springs all round would be $750, or Bilstein and springs all round would be $1588.

To work that out, measure your current hub (dead centre of wheel) to guard measurement, then measure the distance between where you want the guard to sit, and where it sits now, and take that off the original measurement. That the desired hub to guard measurement, and from that we can work out exactly which spring to go. The predefined levels 'low, super lows etc' don't mean anything in terms of finding a specific height.

Too easy mate, know exactly which springs to go.

At that height and adjustable panhard rod would definitely be recommend, but not critical. The Kings and KYB kit to suit is $660, plus a panhard rod at $179. Shipping to VIC $15.

    Hey m8
Firstly i would like to ask if by any chance you ship internationally (US).
Secondly I am running stock FE2 shocks on my 08 Lumina SS, and lowered with Kings Fronts: KHFL-150SSL, and Rears: KHRL-152SL.
I am seeking comfort and good street performance for everyday use. I find the stock FE2 shocks kinda harsh when lowered.
Would love to see whats your recommendation for my needs. It seems that your the suspension guru around here

    Thanks

    Hi mate,

Sorry! Don't know how I missed your post! I was away 20-29th, and got the other guys to look after the forum, but I checked everything when I got back and still missed it!

At that height, if you're trying to return to half decent ride and comfort you'd need to go to something like the Bilstein which is a monotube shock. Front Bilstein B8 including collar $355 each, Rear Bilstein B8 $309 each, Express air freight on full vehicle set $175.

The fronts have to be installed into your original strut legs, so depending on whether you can do that yourself, you might have to allow for some installation cost.

The cheaper option would be KYB, but there's 2 problems with them... They won't be significantly better than what you've got, and being gas charged, they'd have to be sea freighted... which would take months.

Any other questions just let me me know!

    Regards,
    Greg

    Hi Greg,
Can you please confirm what model of KYB shocks these are and the colour.
My current hub to guard measurements are: F 400mm R 390mm (stock VE SS-V, 20" rims) and the lowest part of the exhaust is 105mm from the ground. What do you recommend for the king springs? to suit the KYB shocks
I dont want to scrape on everything, I would like a slightly lower stance with better performance than standard.
This is what the standard setup looks like:

This is because we've now included the new KYB shortened front and rear shocks that were previously not available, and these are a touch more expensive.

So now all VR-VZ have shortened front shocks available out of KYB, as do all rears for IRS Commodores. Prices as follows, any questions give us a bell!

    • VB-VP Sedan with Live Axle $575
    • VP Sedan with IRS $590
    • VB-VP Station Wagon with Live Axle $575
    • VR-VS Sedan with Live Axle $660

    • VZ Wagon with IRS $685
    • VE Sedan/Ute/Wagon $695 (Boge Shocks)
    • VE Sedan/Ute/Wagon $750 (KYB Shocks)

Optional extras recommended when going 'Super Low' or lower:
    • Whiteline Premium On Car Adjustable Panhard Rod Suit Live Axle Sedan $179
    • 4pt Camber Kit Suit IRS VT-VX1 $175
    • 2pt Camber Kit Suit IRS VX2-VZ2 $90

Any questions give us a bell on 1300 884 836. For a quote in shipping let me know a postcode. Payment either direct deposit, or credit card over the phone (no extra charge).
