    Hi mate,

KYB are as good of a shock as you'll get without spending big bucks on Koni/Bilstein/DMS. The KYB on a budget is certainly the shock that will come close to meeting those requirements the best. Certainly better than a Monroe or Gabriel, and the KYB's are made in Japan, which is also a good start.

    Greg

Definitely! I don't think you'll find a single person on this forum that wouldn't take KYB over OEM. KYB are as good of a shock as you'll get without spending big bucks (ie. $1k per set) on Bilstein or Koni.

so do you have options and packages for VE as yet? and options on vehicles running the "sports" or "country" suspension? or will there be a one shock spec across the VE board?

No, there's both standard and lowered shocks for the VE in Boge. Pricing is the same either way, so for any higher combination (raised, std, lowered) the pricing for the sedan is $695 for springs and shocks.

Lowering package with King springs, KYB shortened shocks and 4 pt kit is $839 plus about $25 freight.

also how much lower will the SSL's and SL's be?
SL are generally 45-55mm, SSL 60-65mm, but every application is different, and depends on how much your standard springs are sagged.

or what your reccomendation is for 20" 225/35 wheels without sitting more than an inch below the top of the tyre (if you understand... maybe i should give you a call?)
As above, it's very application dependent, you'd be best off asking around the forums to see what people have used, and what the outcome was.

    Hi mate,

Yep, all lowering kits for IRS Commodores come with shortened shocks for both front and rear.

Shipping to you would be $22, so $697 all up for Kings springs, and KYB shortened shocks delivered.

    G'Day mate,

I've been reading through the posts but would like to confirm some prices just to make sure. Can I have a price for Kings springs and struts, front and back for a VH Commodore. Sports lows or equivalent. Will that drop it about 40mm? Also front struts for a VT. The VT has Pedders lowered springs in it to. It was done years ago and I think they lowered it by 30mm.

With the VH as I am going with a V8 down the track, will the extra weight in the front end constitute the use of a heavier spring? It has a 202 in there at the moment.

What payments do you have and can I get a quote for delivery to South Aust. 5086, Oakden.

    Thanks mate.

A full Kings springs and KYB shocks to suit is $575. Springs are the same price regardless of height. If you wanted 40mm you'd probably need super low as your springs are probably already sagged a bit from standard. Low will drop it 30-35mm from stock, which may be alot less than what your car is now.

Also front struts for a VT. The VT has Pedders lowered springs in it to. It was done years ago and I think they lowered it by 30mm.
Got two options. If it's only 30mm you can go standard KYB's at $135 each, or you can go KYB shortened shocks at $140 each. Much of a muchness, but I'd take the shorter one to take up the stroke properly.

With the VH as I am going with a V8 down the track, will the extra weight in the front end constitute the use of a heavier spring? It has a 202 in there at the moment.
Yep, definitely choose the right spring for the engine, just let me know which one it's got as it will change things.

Shipping to you would be $33. Payment is either by emailing you an invoice with direct deposit details, or else credit card over the phone is also available, 1300 884 836.

    Hi Luke,

Those springs are $145 per pair front or rear. No one will make dedicated raised shocks for it, so the best option would be to just stick with KYB anyway. Fronts are $215 each, and rears are $80 each. All up, shipped to you would be $879 as a packaged deal.
