How to change series 1 VT Lights to Series 2 for only $3.99
Save yourself $80 – $90 from making these similar VT Series 2 Rear Lights, it’s not exactly the same as the series 2 lights, the only that looks different is that you can sort of see the Amber Globe.
By the way still looks better than series 1 rear lights!!!!!
TOOLS NEEDED
1. Medium Size Esky (33 Litres)
2. Phillips Head Screwdriver
3. Hot Boiling Water (Bout 5 Litres)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Open the boot
2. Undo the 2 screws holding the light (Phillips Head Screw Driver)
3. Pull the light away from the body
4. Undo the light bulbs by twisting the globe holders (Remember Where Which Globe Holders GO!!!)
5. Get a medium sized esky (33 Litres) and fill it up with 3 kettles full of water (Bout 5 Litres)
6. Drop the light in the esky for about 5-10 minutes – just so the glue can get soft
7. When the glue is soft pull away the front of the light – put it to the side when taken off!!
8. Take away the orange plastic thing
9. While the glue is still soft put back the front cover, make Shaw it’s fixed pretty well.
10. Get Amber coloured indicator bulbs from repco/supercheap auto,
11. Swap them with the clear indicator bulbs put everything back.
12. Close the boot
13. Look back and admire your rear lights
