Just for the guys who are confused about removing and or repainting their door mouldings - YOU CAN USE A PINSTRIPE REMOVER OR CARAMEL WHEEL.

I Did this on my VY the other day, works a treat.

The Wheel is extremely difficult to find NO ONE knows what they are so i did all those interested a favour a bulk bought these wheels. PM me if you want one! Only $15 posted.

You put this wheel on a drill and slowly and patiently remove adhesive. To start off with start stop every thirty seconds to see how hot the wheel is getting. If it gets too hot let it cool down.

Remove any residue with De Solv it or other wax and grease remover.

If You need sikaflex to re attatch the mouldings i have that too.

Hope this helps.

lol, it makes sense to me, but I've done it before...

There could be a bit more detail in it, but basically you either use the fishing line trick to get the actual plastic mouldings off, or just rip them off, (if you don't plan to paint them and use them again)Then using the Caramel Wheel - in a drill, slowly, use it to 'rub' off the sikaflex thats left behind on the doors/guards.

But you have to do it SLOWLY (pressing lightly on the panel) or you could burn through the clear coat on you panel; requiring a respray, and/or damage the Caramel Wheel - it sort of destroys itself.

Hope that helps a little, theres not much to it, just patience, with a slight skill level to not burn the paint.
And its a hell of a lot easier than just rubbing it with prepsol/wax and grease remover - that takes for ever.......
