Just fitted some VY sports pedals to my VT with info i got from Andyos
Thought i would put his original info up and add some photos and tips
Choose the pedals that will suit your application (Manaul or Auto)
The accelerator pedal is a bit tricky and easier to do if you remove the pedal assembly from the car.
You have to lay on your back and look right up the shaft of the accelerator pedal and you can see where the accelerator cable is clipped into a plastic clip.Just release it.
Then there are four bolts holding the pedal assembly into the car
The accelerator pedal is held on by a pin running through the pedal and through the middle of a spring.
Hold the assembly in a vice and knock out pin remembering which way the spring was sitting.
Fit new pedal put spring and pin back in and assemble back in car remembering to attach accelerator cable again
The foot rest is 2 10mm bolts remove, fit new footrest and tighten
(touch up bolts with matt black or similar)
The Brake pedal you just pull the rubber one off and fit the new one on.
Hope this helps others that want to try this

this is very helpful thanks

cheers for this man, probably gonna do mine soon.
Also for the VR/VS, the pedals should be a straight swap, but the footrest needs a little modification to fit perfectly.
yeah its the same as mentioned. did this to mine a few weeks ago

great write up, when you pull out the accelerator, is there any problem puting it back in(with the accelerator cable)?

No not at all,ive added a photo for removal and you just reverse the procedure when fitting
When you take the accelerator cable off and grab that grommet and slightly pull back on it, its the same action as accelerating, it will come out a fair way so fitting will be (is) easy.
fitting the brake and clutch pads was sooooo f*cking hard to do on my vx! there where just to tight! i havent done the accelerate pedal yet as its starrting to rain! do you have to put it out to fit it or is there an easyer way to pull that pin out?

yeah brake and clutch were bloody annoying. pulling the accelerator out is the only easy way. its not ahrd to remove anyway

I'm totally incompetent with DIY stuff. If i bought pedals from SuperCheap, would they install it for me?
Anyone experienced issues releasing the accelerator cable? Trying to make the swap in my VY berlina and the cable seems to be clipped in with a plastic yellow piece slightly different from the one in your photo. I couldn't get enough of a grip with my fingers to pop it off, looks like I need to by some needle nose pliers or something to get it off. I don't fancy trying to swap the accelerator pedal without taking it out.
i know this thread is a bit old but how did you guys go about taking the nuts off the bolts holding the assembly in place? i ran out of time to do it today so i put the accelerator cable back in and left it with just the clutch and brake fitted (which were a bitch as well)
