    Cool Make your own EGR pipe!

    Hey, as some of you may know I've recently bought a complete Lukey exhaust system. Lukey Extractors, Twin cats, 3" catback with 1 straight through muffler. Anyway the system is for a Super6 and I ve got a N/A. Therefore the passenger side extractor had no EGR pipe.

    So... as always I was left with having to make s**t up myself.
    Although it was really simple, its just frustrating when you buy the wrong crap.
    I bought a new catback system so if anyone is interested in a 3" Lukey Catback with SS tip, I'd be delighted to sell it cheap to a good home. lol

    Here are some pics for U guys to look at. Enjoy.

    um... at the risk of sounding really dumb... what is an egr pipe? >.<
    In internal combustion engines, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) is a nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions reduction technique used in petrol/gasoline and diesel engines.

    EGR works by recirculating a portion of an engine's exhaust gas back to the intake.

    The EGR valve will only open when the car is cruising, it won't open when the car is cold or under acceleration. So it won't reduce power when you want it.

    E.G.R can also reduce pumping losses / combustion temps & improve fuel economy especially cooled E.G.R - do a search on Google ...very interesting ... I always used to pull them off .. but there are articles on Autospeed & many other places about them & the advantages.

    i think that carbon monoxide mate .. unless your cars are producing nitrogen oxide (NOS), though that would be sweet.......

    Thanks but carbon monoxide is the harmless stuff that comes out of the tailpipe after the cats get rid of the nasty stuff such as nitrogen oxide.
    And yes you can make a self powered NOS bottle (no refils EVER).

    There is a big difference between NO and N2O, for the record NOS stands for Nitrous Oxide System, the bottles are filed with N2O.

    NOx= nitrogen oxide= formed during combustion and is bad stuff which is why there is egr to help get rid of that plus a couple other benefits as said earlier.

    NOS= N2O= nitrous oxide= a racing gas
