VY/VZ Dash LED Conversion!

Lenses aren't tinted but needles are I made my needles white but they light up red Not sure what to do because if i scratch the red off i wont be able to see them much in the day time.

Maybe sand off the red and put white out or white paint on top to make it stand out?

Your right the needles already light up white. Not really something you pay much attention to normally

The white gauges look mint

If there was a green led behind it it would light up green, I was unaware on what led was positioned behind the needle so was going off what he originally said " I think they light up green"

Is their a reason yours is a darker blue than your mates? Really would like the aqua blue of your mates for mine, as opposed to the dark blue of yours. Are they the same lights, and just look different because of the camera used or?

Same leds mate, just his lights are dimmed more and also the camera quality of his iPhone haha

Hey mate, yeah ill get onto that soon, forgot i had this how to still half done...
also it could possibly work for a falcon but i have yet focused my attention to other Holden models and doing conversions for them if you send me a cluster im sure i could work something out for it

Nah they're just as a referance, just type something similar Into the search but with your prefered colours

u can get a more aqua colour LED (Lighter blue) that ur after. these r found from different manufactures tho, they can vary slightly between each, its just a matter of finding the right 1 ur after.

Yeah that's true you can get pretty much any colour, just need to source them but yeah as i said the 2 photos I had used the same leds

I would love to see this thread revived. I wish to get around to doing the mod eventually. It's a shame you removed the info because of idiots. They knew the risk they were taking, if they weren't capable of doing the job correctly they shouldn't have bothered.

Any chance of PM/emailed instructions for those that are confident in their soldering/electronics abilities?

I was at work when i first found this thread, when the weekend came around when i was going to give it a go.. the guide was gone sucks.
