Nice write up, could you also jump start engine and whilst engine was running just swap over battery then allowing the alternator to keep power running or does this only work on older vehicles?

Great write up by Troupe on battery replacement. Certainly helped when I replaced my battery today before the original eventually gives up.

Many thanks Troupe.

It's a pain having to remove all the boot trim but necessary to do the job.

I don't know if it is necessary on VEs to provide an interim power supply when you disconnect and replace the battery(as you may need to do on many other cars) but I used the PROJECTA 12 volt memory protector option just in case and all is fine. These are available at Repco stores, Supercheap Auto and a few other auto stores and are quite inexpensive.
