Just a quick "How To" on cleaning your injectors, Of course if you are after a perfect clean take it to a specialist.
Depending on how many K's are on the car the injectors could be filthy.
when doing mine they didnt seem too dirty but nevertheless there was some black residue within them.
As injectors didnt come with the reco crate motor i have no idea how many K's are on these injectors.

What's needed
-9mm socket
-Flat head screwdriver
-A screw, preferably the metal ones used to screw things.. to things :whistling
-Injector service kit (found mine on ebay for 24 bucks)
-Carby cleaner

First step is to remove the injectors, This obviously varies according to the car. On ecotecs you need to remove the upper plenum, on my motor it was just a matter of 1 bolt and 4 nuts before the whole fuel rail could be disconnected and lifted off the engine.

Remove the injectors from the fuel rail, this is done by simply pulling the locking tab off the rail/injector.

Find a screw that is just large enough to fit into the TOP of the injector (rail side)
place said screw into vice like so

Now thread the top end of the injector over the screw.

Wiggle the injector around a bit as to loosen the crush ring at the top of the filter,
Then pull.... hard.
The filter should come out.

Now get yourself some Carby cleaner and spray it into the top of the injector, depending on how dirty they are black liquid should be coming out keep spraying until it becomes clear. Tip the injector upside down and give it a little shake until you are satisfied that most the carby cleaner has come out.

next you need to re install a new filter, this is done by placing the filter into the injector and then pushing the injector against a hard surface.

Now remove all the o-rings and the plastic retainer.
I removed the retainers with a flat blade screw driver.

Replace O-rings with new ones, To push the new plastic retainer on i found the best way was to use a 9mm socket, place the retainer on the socket and then push the injector onto/into it.
Yes i realise its a 8mm socket in the image

Now place the injectors into the fuel rail and install back into the engine.
