I am not sure if the codes are the same, but that gen3 is a 5.7, not a 5 litre.

What code do you call this flash sequence:
    2, 10, 1, 2, 10, 10, 1, 2 long-pause 10,10,1,2 long-pause 10,10,1,2 long pause, 10,10,1,2 ?

    link to video

I gather the 1,2 is code 12, but what are the others?

the pins in the plug are counted from Left to Right Top to Bottom.

Just count 5 and 6 along the top row of pins and thats them.

its just above your pedals, not under the steering column cover(where the fuses are) look further down.

best way to explain where it is, is to put your head on the floor, face upwards and its there.

Apparently VX II and VY have four digit error codes (see this thread vx fault codes)
If can't find a list to see if there is any difference between VT/VX to VXII/VY error codes so should I assume they are the same?

    Thanks for this!
Just checked mine after seeing my check engine light coming on twice this evening just as I got in the car to come home.
Started the car, engine light on, turn it off, started again, engine light on, then eventually went.

Seems Mine's gone to code 15 which is coolant temp sensor voltage too high.
    Random...
Was only flashing that code and the standard 12 code.

Dont forget that the engine light can come on for simple things that mean nothing. For example when driving slowly with a big-bore exhaust, the headders are too cold for the oxygen sensors to work correctly and will return an error.

The VX error codes are now represented by groups of four flashes instead of two flashes like the older commys. Example- code 12 is now represented by 10 flashes, 10 flashes, 1 flash, 2 flashes. The 10 flashes stands for 0. The older commys just had one flash followed by 2 slightly quicker flashes, to represent tens and units to make code 12. After the 10 flashes, how many of the "1's" is it giving you before it starts over.?
