Hi, I'm a new member looking forward to getting involved in these forums.
I have just bought a brand new OmegaV 3.6L V6 180kw alloy tech Commodore. Does anyone out there know how to erase the service reminder. It's something to do with holding down the left scroll button as you switch on the ignition.
I know it can be done without a scan tool because I had this info before but had a computer crash and lost it (should have backed up, eh).
All the best Jules
hold down the bottom left rocker switch while you key on, release it & press the left scroll wheel
get it serviced at holden like you should be doing
Don't blame me, It's that damn percadan..
If you ask me, that stuff rots your brain...
And now a word from our new sponsor.. Percadan? oh crap!
and then you can whinge & carry on when the warranty is questioned as it hasnt been serviced correctly.
servicing is not just doing whatever is on the coupon, there are updates to software etc that need to be done...you cant do that at home.
exactly my point, i do all my services myself too but its a brand new car, there completely computerised because holden are making it so that it has to be serviced at holden.. im sure you need a GM TECH 2 not just any scan tool but im not 100%.. also your probably missing out on waranty replacements like revised washer bottle necks. hvac units, and a thousand other service fixes that have come out, if your too stingy to get a proper new car service then dont buy a new car, fair enough if it was past its waranty period but its a new car man, you dont take shortcuts
