Tried debadging my VN today - came out for the worst. I didn't have the polish but that wouldn't have made a difference I don't think, paint is all faded on my car and under the badges is not. I didn't know how bad it would look so I tried, and it looked very bad. Had to put badges back on with double sided tape. Maybe when I give my car an all round cut and polish I might debadge again, but for now I had to put it back on because seeing where the badges were is even more embarrassing than having badges!

thats an issue with older cars, where the badges have been the paint hasnt suffered as much abuse, sorry to hear mate, good cut and polish should help restore her to former glory!

Hi all. Another little trick to use when debadging is heating the badge up with a hair dryer it makes the adhesive very soft & you can just about peel the badge off. cheers.

what the hell is a caramel wheel, and i dun know what the vn strips are like, however, i removed them on a VK, the only one i had trouble with was drivers, coz it had been urethaned on at one stage, but all i did (please dont try this unless you hate your car lol, or just dont care if it dont work) was sit on ground beside car, place one leg on either side of door, grip the strip, and pull like mad untill it peeled off, then just some thinners the rub the glue off, then a quick polish, and it didnt leave a mark

did you end up taking the strips off the doors mate? im in the process of taking them off my vs and its a bloody drama. tried using some wax and grease remover but its taking aaaaages. there seems to be a real strong black adhesive, different to your good ol sikaflex and its a real bitch to get off. any ideas? at this stage im seriously considering just painting the strips although it wont look as clean
