Hmm I might try this on my VYII Executive...I wanna get the "Executive" and SeriesII badges off.
Would I be able to just get a piece of fishing wire and just a rag, without the polishing chemicals?

wow wish i seen this thread before i took mine off
i have a vl so the front has two clips so i just used a chisel and popped it off, but the rear "holden" badge on tht boot, having being there 20 odd years wasnt so easy, i stupidly used the chisel again and the glue was that stuck it pulled of paint luckily it needed a respray anyway becuase it has the "crows feet" and is a little bit faded
    but good wright up mate
    cheers

Mal1988 just did it to my vy. Use the wire and the black sticky, just peel it off and it just leaves a little glue residue, I just used turps to get rid of that and washed it with water, came up a treat.

Btw.. Turps is fine to use... right?

Would this method work for removing the black and silver boot trim down the bottom corners of a Lexcen boot I just put on my vs commodore? Or is there more too it with trim like that (i've lifted the trim a little and it seems to be the same adhesive).

Hey, I recently purchased a VS ute off a truckie who decided it would be funny to put heavy duty superglue Kenworth badges on the back. I really want to take them off but I am pretty sure its going to take my paint off lol. Would this method work you reckon?

Thinking bout taking to to a spray painter/panel beater and see what they see.

    Cheers.

hey guys!!! I'm new to the world of commodores! I recently purchased a VX s-pack and debadged it. All went well until i tried to remove the Holden Badges and noticed the 2 holes behind the badges. There must be a method for filling these holes coz ive seen heaps of commos without the Holden Badges. I could hit it with a swipe of bog or some fibre glass but i thought id ask if there was a more simple method!
    Thanks Fellas

you'll need to take it to a panel beater, get them to fill up the holes and spray over it. shouldn't be too expensive.

If it's superglue, and on a large obvious area like the tailgate, you'll probably need to respray the panel to get any sort of decent finish. This is why I hate ****ing superglue on cars.

I'm not so sure if its glue or some kind of self adhesive sticker. I went and had a look today and its pretty hot so just thought I'd give it a crack at peeling it with my fingers. Started to come off within 5 seconds me starting and didn't look like it was leaving anything.

I'll give it a crack and see what its like lol

Any sort of polish with a light abrasive in it will work well, maybe even a chemical polish. You could give this a try:

Apply with a couple of these:

...and remove with a couple of microfibre cloths.

    Good setup for beginners anyway

    Hey guys,
Does the VS have the holes holding the boot holden badge in? or is it also just stuck on?
