I know this has happened to all of us!! From the first holdens to the ones now!

How many times are you mistaken for a cop ??? haha i know it can be fun !!!

BUTT

when they slow down infront of you they dont move out of your way ( keeping to the speed limits offcourse)

I had to use my highbeams once and somebody actually pulled over!! LOLZZZ

Wouldn't you need those empty rims (don't know what they're called...the ones with the circle of holes), a super-antenna and be dark blue? And low?

One of the good things about being a commodore professor (like most on here probably), is that you can spot undercover police easily.

Yeah cops are easy to spot for us holden Drivers , but the people which don't know cars good automatically assume a holden behind them at night with dark tints are a cop

I used to have a company VY, (I work in the mines), it was white and had an amber light with tail lights on either side mounted on the roof. On the nudge bar was a collection of aerials, phone and two radios. Now I used to travel right through central Qeensland and would do around 8 to 10000 k's a month.

The amount of people that must have cr@pped their pants while they were either speeding towards or away from me was unbelievable. You would see the cars wobble and slow down dramatically, I would give them a wave when I went past...

I got done once for going a little quick and the cop and I got talking and he said that he wasn't even sure that I wan't a cop before he got close enough.

Once I saw WRX Subaru in the distance doing what I think was around 200 clicks, when he must have seen me in his mirror I reckon his brake lights almost melted he stood on the anchors for so long.

Well brother usually they have extra a normal one wouldn't have such as a random antenna , dark tints , alot of gadgets , just don't break the law and you'll be fine

haha yeah i'm actually a really sensible driver but sometimes that tacho sneaks up to 5k's over you know. but yeah being a red p plater means extra attention from the white and blue, so would be good to know how to dodge a few undercovers.

Drive sensibly and you wont need to "dodge" them.

im mistaken for a cop alot..white vz exec..its lowered and stuff but at night people see white commodore and headlights and seem to slow down or go under the speed limit which is rly annoying..but if im bored or my mates in the car i tend to play copper and mess around with ppl its pretty funny.

I havent been mistaken for a cop but I got pulled over the other day because I am on red P's and he thought my VE was a V8 because I put SSV tailights and rear mufflers on my SV6...the guy wasn't highway patrol but he tried to act all tough like he knew alot, like "this looks similiar to our highway patrol cars" meaning, looks like a V8 model, and he was devo when he saw what was under the bonnet...he was gutted he couldnt bust me!

5Ks over you don't really need to worry about unmarked cop cars. They usually only pull people over for serious things, IE 25+ over, crazy over takes etc etc

Most undercover cops in my area are Aurions and Camrys, I hardly ever see holden/ford undercovers. If you can get a good look at them, you can often tell because of the suspension height, extra aerials, screens/lights in the cabin, dark tint, light strips/bars in the front/rear windscreens.

Aurions/Camrys have the factory alloy wheels usually, the few holden undercovers I've seen have steelies.

One other thing which I never used to believe, is that the number plates always have a L or K in it, I've had a look at every cop car I've seen in the past month or two and they always have one of those letters in it.

A less easier way to pick them is after a while you get to know how they drive, they hardly ever just sit in traffic and go with the flow, they are constantly moving through.

Its more a gut feel, and still a lot of time you won't pick them, or you'll sit behind a camry for 15 minutes thinking its a cop then realise its a little old lady...


Sorry for the off topic, Can't say I've been mistaken for a cop in my p plate spec vr v6 lol, but some mates and I want to hire out a bunch of Aurions and drive around in suits and dark sunnies so that people do mistake us for cops lol

haha one of my old old mates that i dont talk to no more and had a vt

he had these two little leds that flashed one was red and other was blue he used to pull his mates over all the time and pull over behind them sit in the car for a little bit and then just take off hahaha

here in Canberra we have heaps of un marked cars on the roads and they use all the brands falcon, commodore, aurion, one time I saw a subaru, a black ute(i think it is R8 maloo, not sure but looks very HOT) and one time at a petrol station I saw a white colored ssv and a parrot colored FPV, land cruiser

mine was an ex NSW Police unmarked car, when it has all the antennas on with the "chaser" rims on it looks the part (Paul, you havent seen it in all its glory with the CB antennna out of the boot and the mobile phone antennas on the windscreen and rear window). I have a photo of it at the track day where its sitting on the chasers.

I think ive confused a couple of local hoons one night, I went into the carpark one night followed by a mates VE SV6, as we went past a few bonnets got slammed closed and cars started to leave quietly and slowly.
