Ok this ones quite old but ill put it up for anyone who hasn't seen it.
There is a farmer on the mainland with 1 dog , 1 goat and 1 bail of hay.
His goal is to get them all onto his island with his boat.
He can only fit one of these 3 items on the boat with him at any one time.
If he leaves the dog with the goat , the dog will eat the goat
If he leaves the goat with the hay, the goat will eat they hay
How does the farmer get all across to the island safely and in one peice?
Pls if you know this answer dont give it straight away , would be good so see how long it takes ppl who dont know it??
man this joke like changes so many times , but yeh i know the answer
but i wont say it lol so others can try guess
replace the goat and hay with chicken and grain aswell![]()

Make it harder, include an island in the middle. And can't go directly from bank to bank, must stop at the island! :P
I no it lol, its really simple when ya think bout it haha
Hay first, dog second, goat last? I haven't really thought it through so i'm sure its wrong. I suck at these things.
whats the answer..
pretty sure this is the answer or one of the possibles (select to see)
goat first, come back with nothing
take dog, bring back goat on the return trip, so now the dog's there.
take hay across, come back with nothing, so now the dog and hay are there.
final trip take goat across
you guys can't be serious !?
a 12 years old can solve this in a blink
Really really ... Fighting Temptations
The farmer takes the goat over first, comes back and gets the dog, takes the dog over and brings the goat back, he then leaves the goat and takes the hay over and then comes back and gets the goat.
Spot on haha
Wouldn't you take the Goat first, leaving the dog and hay... then ... wen u get to the island ... do the same thing as what you had done before you moved anything (put a fence up or watever was up previously to keep the 3 things from eating each other).
It wud save all the hassle from going forwards and backwards a million times....

obviously he kills the dog and goat, uses a mincer to shred them, then he cooks and eats them both, then he only worries about the hay, which is easy enough to sort out right?
