Drink Driver arrested after driving Christies Beach Police Station .................................................. .....(p.s. that is sapols typo not mine)
South Coast Police have arrested a 49 year old man from Seaford who had driven
to the Christies Beach police station. At about 3pm on Monday the man drove his
car from Seaford to the Christies Beach police station to have a defect cleared
from his car. But the man failed to bring money to pay the clearance fee. Police
however noticed the driver appeared to be intoxicated and he was requested to
submit to a breath test which returned an alleged reading of 0.216. (Over 4 times
the legal limit.) The man was arrested for drink driving offences and issued an
immediate loss of licence for 12 months - and now his car has been impounded
for 28 days.
