Coming home from work I saw this mazda 2 with a towball and just thought WTF?

I'd be suprised if it could pull an empty trailer

yeah i see this and laugh every time,

obviously its not going to tow a car trailer or get much faster than 80km/h with it, but at 500kg unbraked and 700kg braked, it'll have no issue towing a small box trailer (ok so its probably only going to carry hay or something, but still) .

its not for twing, its a safety feature to protect you from being rear ended

My father has one on his Getz. Handy for preventing idiots who can't drive from touch parking at the supermarket. Could tow light stuff but he never does - has a Prado for that
