    ah yeah the old ID10T error. common umong aol users.

    ive heard of people doing stupid stuff like trying to put a pci device into an isa slot backwards and forcing it to fit.

    users do the darndest things.

    Well, what can I say? Having worked in tech support for 2 years nothing really surprises me anymore.

    Each day you get something new and weird to talk about with co-workers, this is going around the office tomorrow for sure.

    Very very amusing, I shall leave it at that I think.

    The funniest thing is that the collective intelligence of that guy and his mate was STILL so low that it allowed him to do something so incredibly DUMB lol!!!

    I am a PC tech and I cop a lot of really stupid users but OH MY GOD I have never seen or heard of anything so incredibly stupid in my life!

    Well theres computer illiterate, which is perfectly OK, and then theres just plain stupid, like the cutting the video card thing hehe...

    I wonder if there is a car equivalent to that level of stupidity?

    Like inserting a turbo into the engine bay and connecting it to the radiator hoses perhaps lol.

    Nah, just kidding mate. In this, the age of computers, you would be better off spending a bit of spare time getting to know the money pit that is your home PC. Once you understand them, it makes life a whole lot easier

    PCs are only a money pit if they are mistreated...

    You don't need to take your PC for a service every 10,000 hours

    But yeah, if you understand computers, there is SO MUCH cool stuff you can od with them! I am still discovering new things hehe. Just started playing around with VMWare - Yay I can finally run Linux and Windows at the same time... no, not dual booting, press alt-tab to switch to my linux machine and ctrl-alt to switch back!
