is it just me or does japan have a infatuation with the word ****?

on a side note related to japanese people stuffing up english, ages ago someone had a picture of a jap guy with a tatto the caption was " yeah its these fancy english symbols, its supposed to say death to all" or something, tattooed on the guys arm was somethign to do with homosexuality
