Pimp My Ride...Oh dear god.

As some of you guys may have noticed they are repeating old episode's of Pimp My Ride on 7mate, you all know the concept...take a P.O.S n make it awesome, but there's always a few things they put in there that makes you just go "WTF ARE YOU THINKING!". I hope I'm not the only one that has these moments, post up your fav pic's of the horrible mistakes they"ve made...or even clips from the show.

Yes...yes it is, they always seem to head half way in the right direction and then go...what can we do to completely fu** up this persons car and make it massively impractical.

They usually start off ok, then someone gets all arty. Most of em do a good job, and some guys 'creativity' will just turn it into a POS. Kinda like the standard art n' craft guy/gal on home improvement style shows, spoiling a really nicely renovated room into an eyesore with a 2m high finger painting on the main wall..

yeah i just wish they'd fix the engine, nice paint job and wheels and lower it maybe and then do something that is actually cool not some ricer that leaves with the same pos engine it came in with... i saw one show on foxtel a while back that was like pimp my ride only they went all out, the episode i saw they took a bloke's stock non turbo supra and turned it into a weapon in 7 days

I saw one where they put a 7" tv monitor in each corner of the bumper bar. Seriously, how are you going to use it when its sitting down next to the wheel? Honestly.

They do fix the engine. They are limited on time and would rather show the crap stuff they do to cars then the good stuff they do. On the dvds they show some of the engine work. Most of the ones iv seen are just full chrome and blinged out.

I think I remember one show where some guy had a rusted out old charger and they went fu**ing crazy on it, put some huge ass big block in it..was such a beast, and then theres the other end of the scale....the one I have hated the most that I"ve seen was the VW beetle that they put a porsche bodykit on and turned it into a portable hairdressing salon...mother of god what an abortion on wheels.

I saw one with a knackered old compact fairlane, the thing was rooted, I saw the most decent thin they could do, give it back, didn't touch it, bought him a new Toyota 4runner and put satellite tv on it and, you guessed it, a 7" monitor, under the car in the middle of the spare wheel, reason for this your asking? So he can watch instructional videos on how to fix his car while he's fixing his car.......

The kid was basically a mechanic apprentice.

I thought i saw this in the pub originally, fair enough. Yeah the show is very much aimed at a socio economic group with little to no taste, but in saying that it does have entertainment value. Giant polished rims and dvd screens everywhere but i would start with mechanical mods before anything else personally.
