i freak out when i see that kind of stuff or hear people talking about hassling cyclists.
dad commutes to work on a bike and had a rather nasty crash a few months back that gave him a few days off work. his helmet was badly scratched by the fence it rubbed against for a few metres, just wonder what would have been the result if there was no helmet....

When I was young (hehehe) my cousin had me sitting behind him on his pushie. We were flying down a very steep hill. He had done what we all did at one time, clipped a peg on the spokes with a piece of cardboard (or something) so it made a clacking sound.
Something went horribly wrong and somehow this peg jammed the wheel and the bike stopped suddenly. We flew through the air together and landed on the road. I landed on top of him so wasn't too bad. He basically skidded along the ground face first. What a bloody (literally) mess.

One time when i was a kid i got on my bike at the top of a hill, and proceeded to go down. I went flying down the hill at record speeds without a problem...until i hit the gate at the bottom of the hill....ouch....... :b:

Mate of mine and me were riding one behind the other back when we were about 10. I was leading, and heard what I thought was him yelling "BRAKE!!" of course, it turns out it was not as I believed, and next thing I know we were both in a high speed heap on the side of the road bruised and bleeding.
To this day, neither of us knows what I heard.

I was once riding my bike slowly, I hit a gutter and ended up flipping the bike.
I thought it was pretty funny since I literally flipped forward and landed upside down and wasn't even going that fast.

I've got a better one, l was riding back to the video store with some videos in my hand, so naturally l was ridding no-handed, when my bike veered off the footpath and hit the telegraph pole. That sent my over the handle bars and rolling onto the road, which is one of the busiest ones in dapto/horsley. When l got to the videostore the guy looked at me funny too, when l got home l realised l had cuts all on my arms and legs, l didn't notice when l stacked my bike cos l just wanted to get off the road!!

I was doubling with my cousin when i was younger and another bike got in our way and we fell, and all though the carnage my foot got jammed in between the spokes (I wasn't wearing shoes at the time) and I had to be cut out of the spokes. My ankle was torn up and you could see the bone.
Yeah I cried

Back a couple of years ago when Holden re-released the Monaro, i was riding my bike somewhere, and i saw a Monaro on the other side of the road. I kept staring at it, thinking how nice it looked, and didn't watch the gutter, which i hit, which made me fall and hurt myself.
