I put a cheeky $100 on Geelong to win by 15 points. Odds are shit, but i'd rather only make an extra $50 off my $100 than take a huge risk on the Saints and double my money.
I never bet, this is the second time i have EVER put a bet on.
Why are they mighty? They haven't won a premiership in how long?
I would wait until Saturday arvo before using mighty, one good season without a premiership does not make a team mighty.
As for fevola, I fail to see what the issue is, fined 10k for having a few drinks and doing karaoke? Seriously, what a ****ing joke...media want people to think AFL players are role models...all they are is sportsman, if people are bringing children up to treat sports stars as role models...we are a ****ed world.

The TAC couldn't be seen sponsoring a team where the players had no respect for its major sponsor, so they pulled the plug and left Richmond with no major sponsor.

Rufus, perhaps teh AFL should be fined and not the players in this instance though. AFL pay and provide all the alcohol, so really if we want to keep playing blame game(seems the in thing to do these days) blame the AFL.

He is the only one to blame. Did the AFL hold his mouth open and pour it down his throat? If he is a pansy boy that can't handle his liquor, then he should be smart enough to hold himself back from drinking too much. If you want to be a famous footy player or celebrity of any type, be prepared to be in the spotlight all the time. He might be a footy player but as an ambassador for the team and a role model to many kids, he should pick up his game. The twat!
He isn't the only one to blame. I think he's a douche in general without this incident but in this instance where was the responsible serving of alcohol?
If he was that intoxicated then he shouldn't have been served the booze right? I think crown have a bit of explaining to do there.
All in all, it's a long season and they're intitled to let their hair down, it's just that Fevola can't handle his drink and behaves like an ass![]()
The responsible service of alcohol is in place for the idiots who are to selfish and too stupid to know when enough is enough. They ARE entitled to let their hair down, that doesn't mean you disgrace your club knowing the AFL is a big part of the responsible drinking campaign. Imagine the headlines if he DID get refused service. These footy players whether they like it or not are looked up to by a heap of young kids. He's a dick and if he knows he drinks like a 18yo, don't drink.
LMAO, did anyone see fevola on the footy show doing the interviews after the brownlow?
Was nailing juddy with pressure points and calling him steven seagal. He was smashed.
As for the above, if he wants to drink too much and have a laugh, who gives a ****? This responsible drinking campaign is a load of shit, instead of trying to use sports stars as role models(thats a joke in itself) how about the gove3rnments MAKE PARENTS DO THEIR ****ING JOBS looking after their children?
Thanks for keeping me entertained fev, was a pisser !@!

They don't try and make footy players role models, they just are, that's life , they play a game that a lot of people look up to and wish they could play that well. If they don't want to be in the limelight, they can go and do a job where they won't be seen on public TV. As for "parents doing their ****ing job", who mentioned underage drinking, maybe Fev's parents should do their job. He's a goose who drinks like a 16 yo girl. Handle your liquor pansy boy, I hope this puts your contract in jeopardy.
Are you for real?
So people are not allowed to drink? If parents taught their children restraint(Which would mean parents actually have to do something with their children instead of palming off issues to everyone else) then drinking today wouldn't be an issue. That said, it is not really an issue these days except for a select few.
If football players, car drivers, sports persons in general want to drink, why can't they? Perhaps if society see them as role models(again, very very sad) our pathetic 2 bit piece of excuse for media would stop reporting these stories for a cash grab? Perhaps we could have some media that would make a difference...lets face it, no one would know of any of this happening if the media didn't blast it all over the TV/Radio/Papers. We couldn't have that though...where would we be if news readers/journalists etc actually had to report on REAL current affairs.

I left him a nice comment on there....
"let him go" He is a role model for thousands of afl fans around the country. He gets paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to play football and to represent his club. If he wants to be a fu*king tool on national tv. then stop playing footy get a normal job, get paid a normal wage and live a normal life. then you can be as much of a wanka as you like.
Pull your head out off your ass fev
Ahh Another poor soul who thinks footballers are icons in this country...how I pity you.
What if it was the CEO of BHP, would you care? What if it was your brother, would you care? Just because he plays football doe snot mean he cannot have fun. Being drunk and doing karaoke, I do not know one person in my direct group of friends and family who hasnt done it, so whats the big ****ing deal?
Still trying to work out where wages come into something...has me beat though.

If he has a drunken night out with his mates on the town so be it. But on national tv with the whole country watching him being a fu*k head. common minux he's not a little boy anymore, don't drink if you cant control yourself on national tv fev.
Its just life, I agree that the media is shit and reports things that are no more interesting than watching the grass grow, however in saying that, he chose to play football knowing that he will be on TV and what TV shows of people. If you know you ar being watchedm then have a bit of nouse and realise that eyes are on you all the time and if you play the fool, everyone will jump on it.
Not the best analogy, no offence but its nothing the same. He can drink, do drugs, bash people up, whatever he wants. As I said however, he IS in a position where the cameras are on him 24/7. If he can't act like an adult for 1 night that is a very important one to the AFL community, he should go back to school and learn some disipline.
I'm with you, I don't see the big deal............
His paid to play football, not to be a ****ing priest....
If he rocked up wasted to a game then that's different (would be funny as hell) but this is in his own time, If people have a problem with what he does in his private time then maybe people should get a life and stop focussing on other people's lives?
Personally I don't give a shit what he does, I have my own life to care about![]()
