If there is one thing Kelly can be thankful for, its showing that the points system simply doesn't encourage drivers to win races. Not that he didn't try to win races, but his consist efforts paid off with good results. I think nobody is going to let this down, especially all the Ford fans, but I believe it was an innocent tap which Craig could probably control 90% of the time. It just happened that he lost it this time.

Take a look how many people Craig Lowndes has punted off the track over the years. Also, I remember an incident last year at Sandown I think where Rick Kelly was leading the race on the last corner and he was punted off by Ingall. Nothing was done about it.

The fact is Rick Kelly was consistantly the best driver all year and he deserved to win the championship.
