Queens Birthday

I was just reading our public holidays calender and found it very strange and kind of amusing that the queens birthday holiday falls on the 09th Jun ("ALL STATES EXCEPT WA") while WA celebrates the birthday/holiday on 29th Sept ..... that is rather strange imo XD the 2 dates are so far apart.

I thought that that date isn't even the Queens birthday.

WA- Wait Awhile lol

She has a few "Birthdays". King Edward VII changed it a little, he chose to celebrate "Official" birthdays at different times to "actual" birthdays. The Queen's actual birthday is April 21st, then the Commonwealth countries celebrate it in June which is also the month she was crowned as queen. No idea at all why WA celebrate it in September (prolly the WA- Wait A while thing lol), the stupid thing is we in WA have a public holiday for it, yet not even the Brit's have a public holiday for her birthday.
