Default Gaffa tape / Duct tape / Race tape

Why is Gaffa tape / Duct tape / Race tape so much like "The Force"??

It has a dark side, and a light side, and it binds the universe together....

Loctite 406 is the same. I once tore an engine mount and couldn't get another one in for a day, so I loctited the crap out of it and pressed it in a vice for an hour. Held up for a day on a manual 202!

They say there are two things you need in life - WD40 and duct tape.
If it doesn't move, and should - use WD40. If it moves and shouldn't - use duct tape.

I can add here that my fridge door handle is held together with 3 bits of crafted duct tape. (small bits of duct tape cut to fit ever so nicely inside the handle) Works a treat while I track down a newie.

Magic stuff - 2 spare rolls in the shed & 1 in the car.

This could only be more concerning if it were held together with cable ties
