I honestly don't think it's worth the risk posting the rego mate, no matter what degree of moron this guy was.

Risk of...?
There are moron's everywhere. I was visiting my friends in Sunny St Albans and its amazing how many times you'll hear wheels screeching at all hours of the night.
Funny you should mention Need For Speed...there was a news item on the TV the other nigth about how a problem is emerging with young drivers having a certain mental attitude after playing NFS and Gran Turismo a few thousand times too many...![]()
Just because I'm 40 doesn't mean I don't get a buzz out of screaming around in Gran Turismo 4, but there are a few things that any driver who has spent time behind the wheel of anything with a bit of grunt immediately notices. First is the traction control...it is there on all off the cars...not just the new stuff. Unless you turn it off, you can flog anything from a Diahatsu Copen to a 426 Hemi Charger around a track and maybe you will understeer off a corner, but that sphincter-tightening sensation of having the tail come out on you when you've overcooked it and wondering if you will be able to catch the tail is gone.
It is "safest" apparently to set a (real) car up to understeer a bit, as lifting off will usually catch it...to get an oversteering car back under control is another matter which takes much more skill.
Then of course more importantly is the "lack of consequences"...I was on the Nurburgring in Germany driving a full-house V12 Mercedes with massive modifications, hitting 300 km/hr down the long main straight, however by this stage the tyres had gone off after a very hot lap and it started to swerve. I tried to correct but lost it and went bouncing from one wall to the other still at about 250 km/hr before pile driving it into a fence and a dead stop from about 200...good thing I was driving in Gran Turismo 4 because it meant I could just drive away again without a scratch...now if it had been real life....
As for phoning in details of a moron? Yep...done it before and I'll do it again, from my car on the mobile if I have to.
I was working in my garage and my son rode his bike off to the shop down the road, saying goodbye to me. As he was about twenty meters down the road, a ratty old Celica stopped across the road from my house, opposite the garage, and the laughing morons inside started spinning the wheels on the dirt beside the bitumen. They then cranked the wheel and smoked the bags on the tar, before fishtailing onto the dirt on my side of the road, flinging rocks into my open shed. They then screamed off down the road, swerving all over and trying to get the wheels to spin again, and missed my son by about ten centimeters as he rode along on his bike. I had thier plate and a full description, so I rang the cops, who rang back about an hour later and said the ******** was now on his first warning and would be getting watched closely, as he had been in trouble before for burnouts and dangerous driving (this was just before the "hoon laws" came in, where he would have probably got his car taken off him for 48 hours). I also had it in the back of my mind that if he had hit my kid, the anti-gun people were right...If my guns were sitting right there in easy access instead of tucked away in my gun safe, I would have been tempted to just grab one in anger and put a bullet through his back window...![]()

I agree...the damn fools should be "dobbed" in....and I really don't think any less of anyone who does ring up the Law on them...it is in the interest of public safety to ring up on them....a bullet through the back window is a little over the top....I'd drop my aim, and go for his tyres....then, he is still alive to face the consequences....friging low-lifes...
