    Cool this is a joke.....

This customer comes into the computer store. "I'm looking for a mystery Adventure Game with lots of graphics. You know, something really challenging."

"Well," replied the clerk, "Have you tried Windows XP?" .....

    because that aint graphical

Mate got SP2 in the mail and it said to pass onto all your friends, first time i think microsoft actually want you to give software to your mates. Also is was paid in german money but sent from japan, those windoze blokes are such a crack up.

*sighs* I'm changing to a Mac as soon as I can get the money together! So much quicker than a windoze system, then I can become a mac snob and look down on everyone :P haha no not really. Macs are good for graphics programs (illustrator etc...).

Actually, if you want to have a slightly less graphical but certainly more frustrating challenge, give good ol' Win NT4 a shot. It's terrible!

Windows XP is like Apogee's Word Rescue (that game used to be so cool when I was 10!)
NT4 is more like Monster Bash (gorier, harder, and the monsters don't look nearly as cute!)

Or if you wanna be a real nerd, like me, you use linux and have both shells and graphics.

i am struggling to see why macs are better for graphics. Everyone says they are but the ones at uni crash as much as my pc at home does. And that is saying something considering that my pc crashes at least twice a day as a result of a faulty graphics card. The mac at uni on the other hand has nothing wrong with it except it is a mac.

Seriously, this isn't a degrading post here or anything fourstar, but there was a joke running around the internet a little while ago something along the lines of "why are mac users a lot smarter than windows users... because it takes any average person to use windows, but it takes a law degree to understand mac"

Personally, I've never been a fan of macintosh, they've got a LOT of compatability problems with hardware peripherals, and some software, apart from the fact that they're insecure in the ways of virus/spyware etc.

But.. in the end 'tis your choice.

The ones at my uni haven't crashed, well at least they haven't when I've been using them. I just find that the mac is a lot faster running the programs than my pc. both mac and pc both have their perks and faults. my needs are for a mac, because in my experience they are a better unit for what i need to do.

Don't hear about to many large spread virus attacks on macs.
